PANDAS/PANS Consultation Program
The Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS) and Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) Program at the Heartwood Program is dedicated to providing consultation services to children, adolescents, families, and clinicians to provide clarity and direction on the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of PANDAS/PANS.
Our multidisciplinary team of professionals, led by Dr. Susan Swedo, the founder of and worldwide expert on the topic of PANDAS and PANS, brings together a broad range of skills, knowledge, and sensitivity to provide evaluations, diagnostic clarity, and treatment recommendations for children and adolescents up to age 18. At the end of the visit, our team discusses the results of the evaluation with the patient and their family. The team then communicates the recommendations to the primary treating providers and remains available for ongoing consultation and guidance.
